Obituary of Marilyn Darlene Plemmons

Marilyn "Cookie" Plemmons, 63, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday February 18, 2017. A native of the Qualla Community she was the daughter of the late James Harvey and Dorothy Lee Fortner Gass. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and was dedicated to the happiness of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her brother Joel Gass.
She is survived by her children Christopher Potts, Kimberly Gregory and husband James, Michael Erik Plemmons; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister Rhonda Gass; brothers Leslie Gass and wife Linda, Jimmy Gass and wife Alice, Steve Gass and wife Mary Ann, Ricky Gass and wife Sandy; and sister-in-law Brenda "Bimbo" Gass.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank everyone who lent a hand in the care of their mother.
