Jack Sutton, 64, of Sylva went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 21, 2017. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Ottis and Polly Sutton. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Carter and Mack Sutton.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Annette Sutton; one son, Andrew Sutton; sisters, Wanda Cagle, Nell and Maggie Sutton all of Sylva; and his brothers, Ronnie Sutton of Sylva and Jim Sutton of Salisbury.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of which he was a member. Revs. Mike Fox, Eddie Stillwell, Tommy Ashe, and David Burch will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Monday at the church.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
