Obituary of Louis Earl Raines

Lou Raines, 28, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday January 10, 2017. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Ricky and Ruthie Crowe Griggs of Bryson City.
Lou was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a 2006 graduate of Swain County High School. Throughout school he enjoyed participating in the Swain County High School Shooting Team and playing Baseball.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, Brett Raines and Randall Griggs both of Bryson City; three sisters, April Raines, Renee Griggs, and Rebekah Griggs all of Bryson City; grandparents, Mildred Smith of Cherokee, and Roy and Rachel Griggs of Bryson City, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lou had a big heart and was known and loved by many.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gerald McGaha will officiate with burial in Sawmill Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
