Obituary of Richard Marcus Woody

Marc Woody, 37, of Canton and formerly of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 2, 2016. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of Richard Woody of Sylva and Tammy Adams of Canton. Marc was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl Woody and Sam and Villa Mae Adams; and an uncle, Dewayne Adams.
In addition to his parents, Marc is survived by two sons, Griffin and Jacob Woody both of Sylva; one daughter, Laci Woody of Sylva; four sisters, Tiffany Singleton of Waynesville, Sierra Lark Hampton of Waynesville, Angie Woody and Jennifer Woody both of Sylva; one grandmother, Evelyn Woody of Bryson City; niece, Lily Singleton of Waynesville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Woody Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
