Jean was my1st grade teacher and my friend for life. I never came to BC that I didn't go to see her. She was a true friend to my parents and was so good to check on Mother while she was ill. I will truly miss her.

Judy,
We were so sorry to hear about your Mom. I will always remember spending time at your house - your Mom was always so kind and so much fun. Those high school days filled with overnights at each other's houses will always be in my special memories. Our Moms mean so much to us and my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family during this loss.

Mike, Judy and family,
My thoughts and prayer are certainly with you in the loss of your mother, who was a remarkably special lady, who shaped and greatly bettered the lives of us "kids" growing up in Bryson City. Along with so many others, I've great and cherished memories of her and each of you. Godspeed and blessings,
Gary Brown.

Mike, Judy and all,
Celeste and I wish to convey our deepest regrets for the loss of your Mom. My first memory of school was in her room. She allayed all of my fears and anxieties and made the new experience of school one to be looked forward to and not to be dreaded. She also "busted my rear end" a couple of times as well! Which, I might add, was well deserved. But my story of school is only one of multitudes with the same wonderful memories of your Mom. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. My life has been better because of her.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was a very special lady, wonderful teacher and a fellow "School House Hill" neighbor. I always remember her kind words, fun time in the classroom and her "dog". Can see her in the front yard with your terrier now and bring a smile as she waived. God Bless you all as it is hard to lose a dear one no matter what the age.
