I'm saddened to hear of Goofy's passing. That's what I called her, Goofy. She didn't mind. We met after Granny took care of my mom and I, out in front of their house, after a logging truck ran us off the road.
When I think of Goofy, I think of dancing on the kitchen all night long, playing with her nail polish, cake classes, and that time she said she was going to, "whip me with a stick," but Granny wouldn't ever let that happen. I think of gathering eggs together, siphoning gas from one car to the other, caring firewood, feeding pigs, and Sam, the dog.
I loved her very much and will always hold her memory dear.
