Marian Catherine "Cathy" Cook, 75, of Bryson City passed away Friday, September 16, 2016. Born January 4, 1941 on Alarka, she was the daughter of the l ate Wilma J. Chavis and Carl Cochrane. She was preceded in death by her son, David Westmoreland in 1994 and her husband Albert Cook in 1982. She is survived by her son, Stephen Renzi (Nycole); brothers, Raymond Marr (Leigh), Charles and Harvey Marr. Neices, Tammy Marr Stein, Kristina Marr Prince, great niece, Ashley Rae Wilkinson (Justin), great nephew, Joshua Stein and Travis Clark (Lidia). Also her loving adopted Tennessee Family of Mary and David Deerman and their children and grandchildren. Kathy also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss her very much. The list is too long to mention but you know who you are. She loved you all. May she rest in peace and rejoice with those who have gone before her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in the Watkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
