Carolyn Slagle Lindsay, 74, of the Lauada Community, has went to be with her husband Robert Lindsay who was a Purple Heart recipient for the Vietnam War; her son Robbie; her parents Nelson and Dess Byrd Slagle, and a sister Elizabeth Slagle Morris.
She is survived by two sisters, Laura E. Holden of Bryson City, and Catherine Wiggins and husband Earl of Asheville, NC; one half-brother; Clinton Slagle of the Ela Community, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday July 16, 2016 at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Carolyn's cousin Jonni Medford will speak at the service.
The family will receive friends and have a meal starting at 2:00 PM Saturday July 16, 2016 at the Alarka Community Center.
