Obituary of Elizabeth Dwain Moore

Elizabeth Dwain Moore, age 61, born January 22, 1955, departed this life to go be with God on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born to the late Carl and Carrie Moore of Bryson City. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, but also attended Corner Stone Wesleyan Church where she was a member of Joyful Noise. She retired from West Elementary School after 27 years. She also was employed by Swain County as a Court Security officer. Dwain leaves behind to mourn her four sisters, Louise Thomas, Jean Moore, Barbara Moore Thurman all of Bryson City, and Apphia Grier and husband Tryone Grier of Atlanta, nephews William Moore of Bryson City, Demetrius Grier of Atlanta; great nieces Raven Moore of Murphy, NC and Coriyah and Amiyah Grier both of Atlanta, GA; one great nephew Dashaun Grier of Atlanta, GA; a host of cousins, Church families, and friends. We lament the loss of our dear baby sister but realize God is just. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel.
