Ronnie G. Cole “Ron” 73 of Bryson City passed away peacefully November 20, 2023, at Mission Memorial Hospital. Born March 24, 1950, to the late R.C. and Ruth Beck Cole, he was a simple man who could fix anything, and was very proud of the work he did with his hands. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a twin sister Bonnie Jean Metcalf, and two granddaughters, Haley Marie Cole, and Brittney Michelle Cole. He is survived by his four children: Ronnie Gene Cole Jr., Robert Gene Cole, Rhonda Geneane Cole, and Jennifer Cole Fry; five grandchildren: Patrick Trenton Cole, Hunter Cole, Kevin Cole, Michael Shuler, and Megan Shuler; three great-grandchildren: Bentley, Evelyn, and Addison; and two sisters: Joyce Hurley and Wanda Cole, and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday November 28, 2023, at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home at 5pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the Service. The family asks that donations be made to Crisp Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses, and that if flowers are ordered they would prefer a house plant.
