Obituary of JAMES VERNON STYLES

JAMES VERNON STYLES, 78, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 6, 2023. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Robert and Eva Jenkins Styles. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ray Styles, and two sisters, Isabell Norwood, and Betty Jean Cline. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Winchester Styles; children, Cathy Odiear and husband Hank of Whittier, James Lee Styles and wife Tina of Sherrills Ford, NC, and Tim Styles of Bryson City; grandchildren, Austin Styles and wife Aliyah of Bryson City, Alex Styles of Bryson City, Caitlin, and Chloe both of Sherrills Ford, NC; great grandchildren, James Styles, and Daniel Styles both of Bryson City, and two sisters, Annette Nations and husband Jimmy, and Darlene Parris and husband Delmer. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Lannie Nations will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
