Eugena Awtrey, 50, passed away Tuesday evening, November 10th, 2009 at a Sylva Hospital. A native of Atlanta, Georgia she had been living in Swain County for the past 10 years. She was the daughter of Dale and Sue Peterson of McDonough Georgia.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Mike Awtrey, two sons, Zach Awtrey, and Tyler Awtrey, two daughters, Amanda Woods, and Taylor Awtrey, one granddaughter Sarah-Grace Rhodes, two sisters, Karen and Genny, and one brother, Eddie.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Josh Hampsher will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 until 2 PM at the Funeral Home, and also from 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
