Donald Lee McGaha, 54, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 14, 2017. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Patsy Jenkins Maney of Bryson City, and the late Donnie Lee McGaha. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Christin Nicole Phillips and a son D.J. McGaha.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Beth McGaha; two grandchildren, Alexis and Summer Phillips of Bryson City; his loving step mother, Ellen McGaha of Bryson City; one sister, Darlene Burrell and husband Dwight of Bryson City; two brothers, Danny Maney of Bryson City, and Aaron Birchfield and wife Lisa of Bryson City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Revs. Tim Barker and Marty Pressley will officiate with burial in Blankenship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home.
