Aunt Nita was such an example of Christ's love, to me and everyone she met. When I think back on the times when she was home on furlough, I am blessed to remember how special she always made me feel. I am so thankful for the legacy she has left all over the world. I love you, Aunt Nita and I will see you again in Glory!

It's not often that I read an obituary and say, "Wow, that was a good obituary." This one is beautiful. Its simplicity and service-centeredness reflects everything Aunt Nita was about.
Perhaps the best thing people can say about a person is that she lived a life of service. That was Aunt Nita in a nutshell. She truly understood the aphorism that "discipline is not an onerous duty, but rather a liberating and simpler idea --whose defining character is joy."
