Obituary of Ronnie Greene

Joseph Ronald "Ronnie" Greene, 64, died Tuesday, March 5th after a period of declining health. Born on Alarka, he was the son of Joe and Nora Greene. He graduated from Swain High in 1967. He was a devoted Christian and member of the Alarka Missionary Baptist Church. He was trained as a mechanic and loved and played music all his life. He is survived by his mother, two sisters, Cheryl Greene Harbin and Eudema Greene, a nephew, Dean Duncan, and niece Emily Harbin. The visitation will begin at 1 pm Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City, followed by the funeral at 2 pm. Burial will be at Locust Field Cemetery in Dillsboro; reception to follow at Locust Field Church.
