As a fellow Postmaster, Edith and I had lots in common. I always enjoyed my time with her.
Edith was always conscientious and caring in all she did, but then that smile and laugh would show up.
I loved her.

I remember as a part of my childhood when we would all go to the pool (the daily rate as i recall started at a quarter and had progressed to a dollar by the time i had graduated from the pool or had other stuff i had to do like work) . The snacks there at the pool and the mail. i remember almost going daily when i was looking for my college admission letters. Godspeed sister.

Knowing your Mother over the years, Debra and Jimmy, only got better with age like a fine wine. She was always welcoming when my Mother and I would pay a visit. I looked forward to bringing her an occasional apple cake from the apple orchard here in Waynesville. Most of I will miss a summer visit and getting to see all those beautiful flowers she planted. Despite what will be missed, I know she’s now at peace and reunited with so many loved ones and friends. Actually, I’m a little jealous of the fact.
Prayers and love to you both,
Connie Allen
