Willard Alvin Jenkins
July 29, 1930 – July 16, 2022
Willard Alvin Jenkins went home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dolly Paris Jenkins; two sisters, Alta Downs and Evelyn Brooks; one brother, Garl Jenkins, and three sons, Scotty Lee, Donald Ray and Richard Franklin Jenkins.
Willard leaves behind two children, Roger and Nancy Jenkins, and Sandra and Ed Brooms; two surviving brothers, Foya Jenkins and Carroll Jenkins; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Willard was a member of the Alarka Community. He retired from General Motors in 1982 and returned home. He was a strong Appalachian man who loved his family, friends and God. He was an avid Fisherman, Hunter, and Gardner he made the best Blackberry Jelly. He could always be found at Jimmy’s Pick & Grin or Mary’s Barn on Saturdays for Music and Dancing.
He will be missed very much.
