Obituary of David Dean Mikeal

David Mikeal, age 60, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, June 26th, 2022. He was a funny, caring, and loving man with a true love for his faith. His grandchildren, friends and family were the most important thing to him. He loved great music, classic movies, cars and cooking. Always ready to entertain a visitor with stories, a few jokes, even a dance move, or regular catch phrase.
David was preceded in death by his loving mother, Marie Dale Ellison Mikeal (Lacy Delos Mikeal), 1 sister, Christine Mikeal and 2 brothers, Dale Mikeal and James Summerow Jr. Also his
grandparents: Viola Ellison, Lee and Ada Summerow.
He is survived by his father, James Summerow, 1 sister, Jada Summerow, 2 brothers, Kenny Summerow and Tim Summerow, 1 Uncle Jerry (Anne) Summerow, and 1 Aunt Georgia May Shaw.
David has 1 son, Jon Buchanan and 3 Amazing Grandchildren: Giovanni Buchanan, Madeline Phillips and Neveah Buchanan with whom he loved beyond words. "He will be missed dearly by all including his very close friends: Pat Staton, Robert Staton and Frank Bass."
A service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, June 30th at First Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC. Pastor John will officiate.
The family will receive friends at 3:00 pm prior to the service at First Baptist Church.
