Obituary of Joann Parton

Joann Parton, 64, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 25, 2022. A lifelong resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of Joe Lawson Campbell of Bryson City and the late Marcilean Day Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie and Bobby Campbell.
She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and attended Hightower Baptist Church.
Joann is survived by her husband of 48 years, Danny Lee Parton; three children, Liz Jenkins (Randy), Mark Postell, Missy Cutshaw (Taython); grandchildren, Marleena Crenshaw (Jonathan), Breanna (Jason), Debrina (Justin), Tater (Ricky), Anna (Bart), Emma, and Brittany; eight great grandchildren; sister, Rose Norris (Tony and Addison); brother, Russell Campbell; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Ann and Nelson Leapard.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday at Hightower Baptist Church. Revs. Sam McMahan and David Burch will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the church.
