Sarah Frances Lackey, 71, of Bryson City gained her Heavenly wings Wednesday, February 9, 2022. A lifelong resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Thad and Irene Bridges Lackey.
She was a member of the Bryson City Church of God. She loved her family and was a very loving person to everyone she met. She loved to play bingo with her sister.
Sarah was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronnie Lackey and Wanda Fisher.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Lackey; grandchildren, Brooke “Baby Girl” Lackey and C.J. Lackey; great grandchildren, Ashton Anthony and Liam Lackey; sister, Gail Huskey; aunt, Jean Brady; special niece, Rena “Sissy” Huskey; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Marty Pressley and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in the Roundtop Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
