Thomas (Tommy) Shuler, 73, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 24, 2021. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Lawson and Hyacinth Shuler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Lib, Peggy, Moeina, and Wanda Lee and brothers, Wayne, and Talmadge. Tommy was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bryson City, and he attended Swain County High School. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy (Janie) Shuler; children, Jeramy and wife Ali, and Jeffrey and wife Carrie; grandchildren, Jarrett and wife Shayna, Hunter, Amber and husband Trevor, Emory and wife Amy, T.J., and Adison; great grandchildren, Raylynn, and Grayson; one sister, Blondina; three brothers, L.D., Wade, and Vaughn, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2021 at Victory Baptist Church in Bryson City. Revs. Earl Holden and Matt Shuler will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the Church. Pallbearers will be Jarrett Shuler, Emory Shuler, T.J. Shuler, Hunter Parker, Mike Shuler, and Steve Shuler. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to help the family with funeral expenses. For Credit payments call Crisp Funeral Home at 1-828-488-3222. Any other type of payment can be sent by US mail to PO Box 1639 Bryson City, NC 28713 in Tommy's name.
