Obituary of Duane Edward Wilson

Duane Wilson age 52 died unexpectedly at his home in Whittier, NC, on December 20, 2021. Duane was a Master Technician board Certified by Ford Motor Company. He’s always loved mechanics he started when he was in high school and never lost the love for it. He loved to play bass guitar and piano as well as fishing and mudding or just being outdoors in general. His favorite place to visit was the Brendle Hole (a family swimming, fishing hole on Alarka). He always made sure it was clean and well maintained. He loved to be around family and friends. He loved going to church and talking about God with anyone and everyone. He always spoke very kindly of his church and pastor Marty Pressley. He always was cracking jokes and singing making the most out of life. He is preceded in death by his Father Robert Henry Wilson (Bob), grandparents Edward and Rose Wilson, Zeb Thomas and Voila Brendle. His brothers Robery Henry Wilson Jr. and Gary Lee Axley. His aunt Judy Jones. He is survived by his mother Betty Jane Brendle Wilson (Janie) of the Alarka Community, Two sister: Debbie Renee Axley of Waldron AR. And Sheena Olivia Craig and husband Jaikab West Craig (Jack) of the Alarka Community. Three sons: Michael Wilson of SC, Forrest Edward Wilson and Tristain Hart Zeb Wilson bother of the Whittier, NC, Aunts: Jean Brady of Deep Creek Community, Jody Pait and husband Ed Pait of Youngsville NC, Jeanette Brendle of Cherokee NC, Uncle: Zeb Thomas Brendle Jr. (Junior) of Rainsville AL. Many nieces and nephews: Carla Wilson of Gastonia NC, Robert Wilson of Whispering Pines NC, Robert Childers of Waldron AR, Donnie Childers of MO, Jeremiah Childers of Waldron AR. Cousins: Lesley Howard of Clyde NC, Shane Cochran and wife Jenna Cochran of Bryson City NC, Tona Bowers of Youngsville NC, as well as many more. His dearest friends Bill and Estella Price of Alarka Community NC, and so many more. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marty Pressley will officiate with burial at Brendle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
