Obituary of William Dean Smith

William Dean Smith (Deano Cappuccino), 59, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 11, 2021. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late John and Lois Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, David Smith, and an aunt, Lizzy Bowers.
Dean loved to go hunting every year and loved spending time with his family that he loved. He loved spending time in the outdoors. He was always trying to make people happy.
He is survived by two daughters, Taylor Smith of Dillsboro, and Staci Page of Sylva; three grandchildren, Alayna Page, Alec Page, and Kalianna Yates; siblings, Don Smith, Deborah Smith, and Darlene Smith.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Brendle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
