Bruce Elliott Pioth of Bryson City, NC went to live in his forever home November 2, 2021. He will join his parents, Andrew and Abigail Pioth and his brother Robert (Bob) Pioth in heaven. Bruce was born in Chicago, Ill. on April 13, 1957. He leaves many loved ones behind, including his wife Tara Lyn Pioth, daughter Hillary Pioth (Ike Hunter) and granddaughter Jules Pioth-Hunter, son Andrew Pioth and grandson Benjamin Pioth , son Graham Pioth , and stepdaughter Jillian Upchurch, sisters Sandy Meek (David Meek) & Karen Beard (Jeff Beard) as well as many loved nieces and nephews and a beloved golden retriever, Beau.
Bruce served in the United States Navy and loved his country. He was a University of South Carolina Graduate who on occasion pulled for Clemson after his son Graham graduated from there. Bruce loved restoring his classic cars, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and children. He loved the Chicago Cubs and the Bears, the mountains, and above all he loved to laugh and make others laugh.
A celebration of Life will be held in the spring as this was Bruce’s request. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock, NC .
