I can’t just name one memory. We have so many!
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my family. Thank you for loving my kids as your own grandkids. Thank you for being like a dad to me. Thank you for loving my mom, and having great adventures with her. I’ll never forget you, and I will always love you.
At my wedding reception, 3 years ago, my mama looked at me and said… good luck getting Richard to dance with you because he don’t dance! Well, I took a chance and asked you. And you danced with me. Thank you so much for that. It meant the world to me❤️❤️
I miss you so much!!!

PEDRO…. A nickname papa gave him many years ago. And he’s been Pedro ever since. From hunting Camp fishing and hanging out with papa in his deer stand…. He was papas little buddy. When he was younger he’d help papa work in the shop. He also watched westerns with him and whatever new movies came out. This past summer papa tried to make a man out of him by giving him his first job. He died yard work and generally just helped him out. Austin misses you so much and he loves you. He will never forget the memories y’all shared!

SCOOTER POOT…. A nickname papa gave her when she was first born, and called her that everyday since. Skylar loved her papa so much! When she went to stay the weekend with him & mamaw she’d wake up Saturday morning hurry up and put her shoes on, and run down to the shop to hangout with her papa. He said she’d ask him a million questions while they worked all day in his shop. If papa worked outside… she would be out there with him… digging mud holes, and playing in the bed of his trucks. He was her best friend. She loved him so much; and she misses him like crazy! Skylar will never ever forget the memories with him!

We are very saddened by the passing of Richard. He was a wonderful man and loved by all of those who met him. When our father, Michael Elliott was very ill and also suffering from Alzheimers, Richard took him into his home with his best friend and partner in life, my sister Nancy. Richard and Nancy took great care of him. In particular, Richard would spend each day with my father Mike, giving him chores to do and keeping him busy working outside and on projects. As my father's end of life drew nearer, Richard spent each day caring for him as Nancy would go to work. He would make him coffee in the mornings and they would watch old Western black and white movies late into the evening. We had the pleasure of having Richard in our home in Merritt Island many times over the years and my children and grandchildren loved to see him and loved his sense of humor. He enjoyed sitting on our back patio and fishing off of our dock and spending time on our boat. Above all, Richard was the love of my sister's life, a father to her daughter Amanda and most of all an amazing grandfather to Austin and Skylar. We will all miss him and his sense of humor and his spirit of love and caring for those who crossed his path. Our hearts and prayers are with Richards family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Love, all of the Bagby Family, Greg, Nora, Nicole, Alex, Courtney, Andy, Josh, Kanyin, Jocelyn and Georgia (and Bella and Luna, our dogs who loved sitting and snuggling with him when he would visit)
