I just stumbled on this article. My college room mate at Cullowhee in '58 was Jake Hyatt from Bryson City. I recent found his obit and was pleased to note that he had a fulfilling life in his beloved city. I remember that he and I both agreed to chew tobacco while studying to keep from filling the room with cigarette smoke.
