Carroll Vance Ball 78 of Dallas NC formerly of Milton Freewater Oregon and Bryson City NC went home to be with the Lord Sunday May 9th, 2021. Carroll was a lifelong logger in the logging industry and loved his family along with Bluegrass music. Carroll was a great storyteller and always had everyone laughing. He will be greatly missed by all, especially his family. Carroll was the son of the late Rev. Riley and Bertha Ball. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his spouse of 30 years Jannette Hyde Ball, brother Gary Ball and daughter Carolyn Stillwell. Carroll is survived by his two sons Steve Ball (Shelia), and Mark Ball (Crystal), brother Richard Ball, seven grandchildren, Madison Ball, Mark Ball II, Courtney Ewing, Valerie Ewing, Jennifer Hewitt, Matthew Stillwell, Richard Stillwell II, and six great-grandchildren, several extended family members, friends and special friends Elliott Osborne and family from Oregon. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2 pm Sunday May 16th, 2021 at Crisp Funeral home followed by a graveside service at Laurel Branch Cemetery with Rev. Robert Fraley officiating along with Mark Ball II. The Ball family would like to thank Lincolnton Rehabilitation and Hospice of Lincoln County for their care during Carroll’s’ illness
