Obituary of William Thomas Saunooke

William Thomas Saunooke, 54, of Cherokee went to his eternal home on April 29, 2021. He was born in Swain County on December 31, 1966 to Solomon and Mary Ann Saunooke who survive him. In addition, William is survived by his wife, Vickie Saunooke, of thirty years; one son Jamy Saunooke (Sarah); one sister, Peggy Lambert; one brother, Jonah Saunooke; seven nieces and nephews, Chavis, Jonah, Kylie, Kendra, Braelyn, Marley, and Brandon; a special mother in law, Joyce Messer and an extremely special companion, his dog Bella. William is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jonah and Luzene Washington and his paternal grandparents, Cain Saunooke and Margaret Radcliff. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 2:00pm at the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service. Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the Saunooke family with arrangements.
