Ray Jones, 79, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 20, 2021. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Carl Ray and Nannie Bailey Jones. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Emma Jean Jones, and a sister, Betty Jean LeQuire.
He is survived by four children, Norma Burdette and husband Brandon, Charles Ray Jones and wife Andrea, Douglas Christopher Jones and wife Jessica, and Loretta Bradley; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Lauada Cemetery. Rev. David Burch will officiate.
