Obituary of Linda Jane Burns

Linda Simonds Burns, 72, of Bryson City, NC went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 17, 2021. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Hazel Baines Simonds. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Seay, and a nephew, Dale Seay.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Horace (Hoss) Burns; one son, Jeff Burns of Leicester, NC; nieces, and nephews, Brooke Seay, Jerry Seay, Jessica Seay, Travis Seay, Tripp Seay, and Jesslynn Durley, and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tom Harris will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ela Baptist Church at 4450 Ela Road, Bryson City, NC 28713.
