Obituary of Judy Collins

Judy Wiggins Collins, age 69, passed away peacefully April 4, 2021. A native of Bryson City she was born September 17, 1951 to Wade and Flonnie Wiggins. For many years Judy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Skyland Care Center in Sylva. She loved her job, coworkers, and residents like her family. Judy was a dedicated mother and Nana. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She loved spending her Saturday evenings dancing with many friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Flonnie Wiggins; brothers Richard and Randy Wiggins; and grandson Evan Ward. Judy is survived by her brothers and wives, Reggie and Anne Wiggins, Bo and Shelia Wiggins, and brother Brian Wiggins; sisters and husbands Joan and Dennis Chuculate, Jane and David Rowland; her son Kevin Huskey; her daughters and their husbands Kymberly and Gainey Burns, and Kerri and Jeff Lipe; grandchildren, Ciera Wiggins, Nick Burns, Elias Huskey, Wade Lipe, and Benjamin Lipe; plus 6 great grandchildren Trent, Eli, and Chimera Ward, Lukas and Alena Wiggins, and Ilawi and Tsiya Huskey; and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
