Obituary of John Dewitt Bernard

John Dewitt Bernard, 67, of Bryson City passed away on March 21, 2021. He was born in Swain County to Lea Bernard and the late Albert Bernard. John was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a giving person who was always willing to help someone. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara, of eighteen years. He is also survived by stepchildren, Agnes Dills and Tommy Fuller; five grandchildren, Thomas Fuller. Dawson Fuller, Diren Dills, Devon Dills, and Baron Dills as well as one great grandchild, Ridge Fuller. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Swain Memorial Park. Sam McMahan and Brian Schuler will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the service. Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the Bernard family with arrangements.
