Obituary of Charles Silas Green

Charles Silas Green, 82, of Whittier, passed away on January 24, 2021. Charles was born in Swain County on February 25, 1938 to the late Silas and Cora Hooper Green. Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Huskey Green. In addition he is survived by six children, Connie Rose, Elvis Crisp (Theron), Charles Green (Sherry), Tina Donkor (Prince), Billy Green (Beth), and Alvin Green (Theresa); fifteen Grandkids; twenty one Great Grandkids; one Great Great Grandkid; one brother, Roosevelt Green and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Thelma Hartley, Mary Millsap, Mona Gibby, Aglesta Millsap; three brothers Paul Green, Lewis Green, and Mack Green and one son Richard Huskey. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Joseph Green, Dale Green, and Ercell Green will officiate. Burial will follow at Birdtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the Green Family will arrangements.
