Barbara Joyce Reidmiller, 71, of School House Hill went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her residence. A native of West Virginia, she had lived in Swain County for 32 years. She loved and enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Thrift Shop where she had worked for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Casto and a child, David Charles Reidmiller.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom Reidmiller; three children, Theresa Brzusek and husband Jim of Lewiston, N.Y., Sandra Jenkins and husband Heath of Baltimore, MD, Rebecca Hodnett and husband Kyle of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Josh and Erin Brzusek, Abe Jenkins and Reid Hodnett; and one brother, George Casto of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of which she was a member. Father Shawn O'Neal will officiate.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Pisgah Gardens in Pisgah Forest, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until the service hour.
