Obituary of James Harvey Burrell

James "Jim" Burrell, age 74 of Sevierville, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, joined his wife Gwen in Heaven on Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born May 14, 1944. Jim was the owner of Action Antiques for 30 years. Besides selling antiques, his passion included making everyone he knew a little kinder, a little wiser, a little more thankful, and a lot happier. Jim was a proud republican and loved his "Make America Great Again" hat. He was preceded in… death by his wife, Gwen Burrell, son, James Hyde, father, Grady Burrell, mother, Christine Duckett, brother, Fred Burrell. Survivors Children: Lori Katsaras (Guss), Chris Burrell (Joni), Jeff Burrell (Billie Jo), Katrina Burrell 14 Grandchildren 17 Great-Grandchildren Brothers: Grady Burrell (Mary), Joe Duckett Sisters: Lillian Thompson (Noel), Joan Duckett Gurney (Peter) In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38138. The family will receive friends 12 – 2 PM Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Memorial service to follow at 2 PM with Rev. Joey Buck officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Sawmill Hill Cemetery in Bryson City.
