Virginia Breedlove King 94 of the Needmore Community ended her work here on Earth and went home to be with the Lord, Sunday February 12, 2023. Virginia was a native of Swain County. She was first and foremost a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She was a Restaurant worker in her early years. She worked 18 years at the restaurant at Almond Boat Park. She also worked at Fast Food and a number of Manufacturing Plants in Bryson City . After retirement she loved working in the Family Business, K&B Meat Processing. She is survived by her husband Floyd King of 73 years; sons, R.V. and Sherry King of Grottoes, VA, and James King of Bryson City, and a daughter Brenda Patton of Bryson City; Grandchildren, Joni Estep, Daniel Cloer, Adam King, Paul King, Robert Cole, Rhonda Cole, and Ronnie Cole; 10 Great grandchildren; and other loved ones, Michelle, Cydnie, and Autumn DeHart. She is also survived by an older brother, Thad Breedlove of Gastonia, and sisters, Byrdell Sparks of Statesville, and Glenda Brendle of Bryson City. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bessie Freeman Breedlove; sisters, Paulene Brawley, Joyce Eunice, Murel Calhoun, Lou May Ayers, and a brother, Frank Breedlove. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Jeff Waldroup and Bobby Cloer will officiate with burial at Maple Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
