Obituary of Margaret Dona Bowers

Margaret Dona Bowers, 95 years old, born December 28, 1920, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Freewill Baptist Church for 81 years, and her faith never failed her. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Amanda Barker Gunter. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Jim Bowers, and nine siblings; brothers, Gordon Gunter, Goldman Gunter, Blackie Gunter, Whitey Gunter, Worley Gunter, Lester Gunter, and sisters, Stella Green, Nora Green, and Easter Herron. She leaves behind to mourn her, one daughter, Cookie Glasgow (Albert); two grandsons, Tim Hensley (Sara), and James Glasgow; one precious great grandson, Camron Glasgow; a good neighbor and friend, Beatrice Gibson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Roby Bowers will officiate with burial in the Cochran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
