Obituary of James Byron Roland

James (Jim) Roland, 90, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 16, 2019. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Mark and Dolly Mathis Roland; husband of the late Dora Roland; and father of the late Walter Roland.
He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Aileen McCoy; grandson, Jamie Cook; three great grandchildren, Megan Lucas, Emily McClung, Alex Cook; and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. David Watkins will officiate with burial in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Monday at the funeral home.
