Thursday, January 11, 2018Peggy Sue (you'll always be Peggy Sue to me) and family--I read with Vincent's death with a genuine sense of loss, never mind that a full half century has likely passed since I last saw him. Still, I recall your courtship, much of it carried out on that swing on the east side of the old Mahaffey house, as if it was just yesterday. Likewise, I cherish recollections of Vincent and those summers we played on a fast pitch softball team that competed in a league in Cherokee. He was a fine small town athlete. Obviously, judging by the number of comments here, he was an individual with numerous friends who was admired and loved. May all those countless good times you can look back on with enduring fondness lift you up in this time of sorrow. Jim Casada
