Esther Lee McGuire Cole, 89, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday November 9, 2017. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Nola and J.B. McGuire, and wife of the late Harley Cole. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Ruth McKinney.
She is survived by two sons, Reginald Henderson and wife Mary Helen of Whittier, and Ronald Henderson and wife Bobbie of Whittier; one daughter, Jennifer Frady and husband Robert of Whittier; four grandchildren, Traci Clark, Steven Henderson (Kerry), Marchae` King (Howard), Austin Frady (Melissa); eight great grandchildren, Katlyn, Rodney, Rosa, Courtney, David, Casey, AJ, and Payson; two great great grandchildren, Stormye and August, and special caregivers, Sally Watkins, Jean Sutton, and Diane Buchanan.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Pastors Austin Frady, Steve Jamison, and Lloyd Fish will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Crisp Funeral Home.
