Obituary of Ruby Haney
Ruby Etta Walls Haney, 92 of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 1, 2017. She was born on Feb. 4, 1925 in Swain County. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Epp Walls and Lola DeHart Walls and wife of the late Carlile Haney.
She lived in Missouri for a number of years. She was a hard worker, had her own antique business and was most proud of being one of the few women to hold the title of Colonel Auctioneer in Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Bob Walls, Thurman "Jack" Walls, Pansy Early, Sue Woodard, Maxine Wright & Troy Walls, and her son Dennis Haney.
She is survived by her brother Earl Walls & wife Susan of Missouri and sister Joyce Wiggins & husband Dave of Bryson City. Her children Thurman Breedlove & wife Freddie of Bryson City, Larry Haney & wife Patti of Missouri and John Haney & wife Vivian of Gastonia, NC.
She had 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at Crisp Funeral Home on Sunday Sept. 17, 2017 from 4-5:30 PM.
