Kenneth Cloer, 84, of the Alarka Community, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 21, 2016. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Alfred David and Hester Woodard Cloer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Carroll Cloer. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 64 years, Myrtle Clampitt Cloer; one son Dale Cloer of Bryson City; one daughter, Sherry Seagle and husband Darrell of Bryson City; two grandchildren, Buck Cloer and wife Amber Nicole of Bryson City, and Mandi Gardner and husband Jason of Bryson City; three great grandchildren, Kobe, Eli, and Yonah all of Bryson City; two brothers, Russell Cloer and wife Elsie of Bryson City, and Thomas Cloer and wife Francis of Bryson City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eugene Moore will officiate with burial in East Alarka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
