Albert David (Al) Vaughn, 77, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was owner and operator of Vaughns Tree Service for 50 years which will continue to operate as per his wishes.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Vaughn; son, David Vaughn of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Jerri Brooks and husband Chris of Woodstock, GA; step children, Danny Hudson and wife Janene of Bryson City, John Hudson and wife Kristi of Deltona, FL, Jacob Hudson and wife Ashley of Bryson City; five grandchildren, Cody Vaughn, Daniel Hudson, Jessica Hudson, Adam Hudson, and Ashley Hudson; and his pet, Molly.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Cogdill will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm Saturday at the church.
A meal will be provided in the church fellowship hall following the service.
Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
