Wayne Birchfield, 87 of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2016. He was the son of the late Osborne and Sally Birchfield. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Odelia Birchfield, three daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy and Buck Arch, Lisa and Scott Thompson, and Judy and Mike Allison, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The service will be held at Victory Baptist Church with the viewing from 3:00 to 4:00 and the funeral service beginning at 4:00. A graveside service will follow at Arlington Baptist Cemetery. Reverend Roy Kilby and Reverend Jeremiah Wike will be officiating. Crisp Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
